Now Hiring: Quality Assurance (QA) Technician – Food Manufacturing
Location: Santo, Texas
Pay: Competitive, Based on Experience
Schedule: Full-Time | Varying shifts with potential overtime

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for a reputable food manufacturing facility. This hands-on role supports the daily operations of the Quality Assurance Department, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, company standards, and production protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-operational inspections, including sanitation checks and swabbing

  • Collect and test product samples; perform sensory evaluations on finished goods

  • Monitor and verify compliance with HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and quality procedures

  • Collaborate with Production team on resolving food safety and quality concerns

  • Audit sanitation practices and conduct GMP walkthroughs

  • Place and release product holds as needed based on QA findings

  • Accurately complete QA documentation and reports

  • Perform other QA-related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience in quality assurance or food safety is strongly preferred

Required Skills:

  • Understanding of HACCP plans, GMPs, and SSOPs

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete routine documentation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively across departments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or Food/Meat Science

  • HACCP Certification and experience with BRC or SQF audits

  • Previous QA experience in a USDA-inspected facility is a plus

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods in a wet, cold/hot production environment (O-100F

  • Work may involve slippery surfaces and loud machinery

  • Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed
