Now Hiring: Maintenance Supervisor – Food Manufacturing Facility
Location: Santo, Texas
Pay: Competitive | Based on Experience
Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime as Required
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a well-established food production facility in the Santo, Texas area. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining the facility's equipment, machinery, and grounds, ensuring operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and upholding food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate Maintenance Department personnel

Maintain preventive maintenance programs and timely completion of work orders

Oversee equipment repairs, installations, and troubleshooting to prevent production delays

Ensure maintenance documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time

Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement as needed

Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized services
-
Support compliance with safety, food safety, and GMP protocols
-
Coordinate maintenance spending and capital projects with the Plant Manager
-
Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and work areas
-
Participate in management and safety meetings as required

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Associate’s degree or Technical School certification preferred
-
2–5 years of maintenance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
Required Skills:
-
Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance systems and processes
-
Ability to read equipment schematics and technical diagrams
-
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
-
Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
-
Team-oriented leadership style with the ability to direct and motivate others

Able to lift up to 50 lbs periodically and work in physically demanding conditions
Preferred Skills:
-
Previous maintenance experience in a USDA or food manufacturing facility
-
TIG welding and/or electronic troubleshooting experience
-
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Working Conditions:
-
The work environment varies from cold to hot and may be wet or slippery
-
Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
-
Occasional overtime required based on production and maintenance demands
