Now Hiring: Label Operator – Food Production | Entry-Level | Full-Time
Location: Santo, Texas
Pay: Competitive | Based on Experience
Schedule: Full-Time Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (hours are approximate; flexibility required)

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Label Operator for a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented and reliable, with a strong interest in machine operation and production work.

 

Job Summary:

The Label Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the labeling machine on the production line, ensuring that product labels are properly applied, stocked, and documented throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor labeling machine operation to ensure continuous production

  • Refill and restock labels as needed

  • Complete all required production paperwork accurately and timely

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including trash removal in assigned areas

  • Follow all food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned depending on daily production needs and staffing

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or machine operation preferred

Required Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team

  • Willingness to take direction and assist in other areas as needed

Preferred Skills:

  • 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing environment or machine operation

  • Basic understanding of food safety protocols and labeling accuracy

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work in conditions that may be wet, slippery, and humid

  • Temperature range from 50°F to 90°F

  • Standing required for most of the shift

  • Frequent lifting of small items (up to 5 lbs)

  • May include bending, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and twisting as part of daily duties
