Job Title: 2nd Shift Supervisor (Welding Department)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 DOE
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated 2nd Shift Supervisor to oversee production operations in our welding department. This role is responsible for managing workflow, ensuring quality standards, and driving team performance. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of welding processes, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with other departments to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead 2nd shift production team, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and according to specifications

Assign daily tasks to welders and other production staff based on workload and priorities

Perform regular quality inspections of welded components to ensure compliance with company standards

Monitor production processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise

Ensure all safety protocols and company procedures are followed

Communicate effectively with other supervisors, production managers, and team members

Generate and email daily production and shift reports to management

Assist with training new team members on welding techniques and safety procedures

Maintain accurate records of production output, materials used, and any issues encountered during the shift
Requirements:

Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or welding environment

Strong understanding of MIG, TIG, or Stick welding processes

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding blueprints

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety

Proficient in basic computer applications (email, Excel, production tracking systems)

Flexibility to work overtime as needed
