Accounts Receivable Clerk – Manufacturing | TEMP
Location: Weatherford
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7 am-3:30 pm
Pay: $20.00-$24.00
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk with strong communication and problem-solving skills to join our accounting team. This key position is responsible for maintaining accurate AR records, processing customer payments, and supporting the accounting manager in improving policies and procedures.
Ideal candidates will have a background in AR within a manufacturing environment and a solid understanding of accounting principles, ERP systems, and Excel functions like V-lookups and pivot tables.
Key Responsibilities

Daily verification of shipping paperwork and invoicing of shipments

Process ACH, wire payments, and retrieve customer portal payments

Apply payments in ERP system accurately and on time

Distribute customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables

Track AR aging and escalate overdue accounts

Work with sales and customer service to resolve payment or invoicing discrepancies

Generate and process RMA credit memos

Collaborate with internal departments for intercompany reconciliations

Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and GL reconciliations

Assist with AP and other accounting duties as needed

Maintain professional customer communication and interdepartmental relationships

Ensure proper filing, documentation, and retention of records

Assist during financial audits and special projects
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting a plus

4+ years of AR experience in a manufacturing environment

Working knowledge of GAAP, ERP systems (Visual is a plus), and Excel
-
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
-
Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Reliable, adaptable, and able to handle pressure
