Job Full Description
Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 3 PM - 2 AM
The Production Supervisor oversees daily shop operations, production schedules, and employee performance in a welding and manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time completion of work while providing leadership, training, and coaching to production staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production workflow and employee schedules.
- Lead, train, coach, and evaluate welding and production employees.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations.
- Investigate and resolve production delays to meet shipping deadlines.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, shutdowns, and startups.
- Review work orders, blueprints, and schematics to support production activities.
- Operate and oversee fabrication and assembly processes, including cutting, bending, measuring, welding, and assembly work.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have knowledge of welding and welding processes.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Welding Manager preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality standards, and workplace safety practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk throughout the production facility.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
