Quality Auditor – Primex Plastics
Mesquite, NV
Primex Plastics is currently seeking a Quality Auditor to join their Production Team in Mesquite, NV. The ideal candidate will have a good work ethic, be dependable and reliable and be able to work as a team with production associates and management to ensure all products meet quality specifications.
Primex brings on all new associates through Express Employment as evaluation hires. After completing approximately 90 days of employment through Express Employment, associates are eligible to be converted to Primex's payroll to become an official employee of Primex
The position is Full-Time, 40 hours per week, some overtime required. Must be able to cross train in production positions and work in a hot environment.
Compensation and Benefits for the Quality Auditor
- Salary: $15.00 to $22.00 /hour depending on experience, overtime is also available
- Shift differential for Swing and Grave Shifts
Requirements of the Quality Auditor
- Excellent attendance and positive attitude
- Fluent in English
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions
- Ability to read a tape measure and micrometer
- Have a working knowledge of SPC and capability studies
- Ability to work as a team with other manufacturing associates
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout an 8-9 hour shift
- Must be able to work at a fast pace
Responsibilities of the Quality Auditor
- Follow all plant safety rules
- Improve the quality process
- Record variances of the quality process
- Conduct and record inspections as per procedures
- Ensure required SPC activities are completed as required
- Pay special attention to Quality Alert orders
- Operate lab equipment, including spectophotometer
- Train manufacturing personnel various inspection, testing and quality system aspects
- Serve on the internal audit team as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
