Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher to support daily operations for a bus transportation system. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time transportation services.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and dispatch bus drivers according to scheduled routes and service needs

Monitor routes, vehicle locations, and service status in real time

Communicate clearly with drivers regarding route changes, delays, or emergencies

Respond to service disruptions and adjust schedules as needed

Maintain accurate dispatch logs, reports, and records

Provide customer service support by answering calls and addressing rider inquiries

Work closely with management to support daily operational needs
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Previous dispatch, transportation, logistics, or customer service experience preferred

Strong communication and multitasking skills
-
Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure situations

Proficient with computers and scheduling or dispatch software
-
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work assigned shifts, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays
