Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Morgantown, WV
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Compensation: Up to $60,000 annually, based on experience
Job Summary:
A reputable company in Morgantown is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. This full-time role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to grow their skills in cost accounting and general ledger support within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with cost accounting and job cost tracking
- Process accounts payable, including invoice coding through the general ledger and job cost system
- Support accounts receivable, including reconciliations and discrepancy resolution
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience
- Working knowledge of AP, AR, and general ledger processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
