Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on diesel trucks, heavy equipment, engines, and related mechanical systems

Utilize diagnostic tools and computer software to identify engine, transmission, and equipment issues

Complete preventive maintenance and repair documentation accurately

Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with DOT maintenance regulations

Follow all company safety procedures, workplace standards, and maintenance protocols
Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or Fleet Mechanic preferred

Ability to operate computer-based diagnostic and maintenance tracking systems

Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs is a plus

Understanding of DOT regulations, maintenance records, and safety compliance requirements

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
