Job Full Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties.
- Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
- Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
- Must verify packaging, labeling and inspect for damage on all incoming and outgoing product. Add
- Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of packaging & shipping materials on hand at all times. Change
- Required to forward a requisition for packaging & shipping materials to the Department Supervisor for approval. Change
- Operate forklift, overhead crane, manually operated lifting devices to load and unload trucks, move, transport, stack and store materials as needed. Add
- Ability to accurately use measuring, weighing and counting scales. Add
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Perform alternate duties of truck driver to transport product between buildings, make pick-ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using the company truck, as assigned. Change
- Must maintain a good attendance record.
