Dispatcher
Location: Cudahy, WI
Pay: $20.00–$23.00/hour
Hours: 8am-6:30pm OR 4am-2:30pm
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and organized Dispatcher to join a trucking company in Cudahy. The Dispatcher will coordinate drivers, routes, schedules, and customer needs while ensuring deliveries and pickups are completed safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can multitask, stay organized under pressure, and work effectively in a fast-paced transportation environment.
Responsibilities
- Dispatch drivers and coordinate daily pickup and delivery schedules
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal team members
- Monitor driver routes and delivery status
- Schedule and coordinate loads based on customer requirements
- Handle schedule changes, delays, and other issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate dispatch, delivery, and driver records
- Enter and update information in company systems
- Communicate with customers regarding pickup and delivery times
- Ensure drivers have the necessary information and documentation
- Assist with resolving transportation and scheduling issues
- Follow company safety and compliance procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous dispatch, transportation, logistics, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with computers and transportation software
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Detail-oriented with accurate data-entry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Trucking industry experience is a plus
