Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Operator
Pay: $20.00+/hour, based on experience
Shift: 12:00am-8:30/10:00am
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Operator to safely move, load, unload, and organize materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate has strong forklift experience, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move and store materials
- Load and unload trucks, pallets, racks, shelves, and storage areas
- Verify incoming materials against bills of lading
- Safely secure materials for transportation using straps, bracing, and padding
- Count, weigh, label, and record materials as required
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records
- Use hand trucks, hoists, and other material-handling equipment
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of stand-up or sit-down forklift experience required
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Reliable work ethic and strong attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally handle materials up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday
