CNC Operator – 1st Shift
Location: Greendale, WI
Pay: $22.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
A growing manufacturing company in Greendale is seeking a motivated and goal-oriented CNC Operator to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with CNC experience or an individual looking to build a career in machining and manufacturing.
The CNC Operator will manufacture precision parts to specification while operating CNC lathes and vertical or horizontal machining centers.
Responsibilities
- Properly load, unload, and operate CNC machines
- Change tooling, inserts, and bars and set up bar feeders as needed
- Change work-holding components and make machine offsets
- Perform operator-level machine maintenance
- Monitor machine operation and identify part quality issues
- Maintain proper coolant and lubrication levels
- Read and work from blueprints, routings, and samples
- Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, depth micrometers, comparators, and fixed gauges
- Maintain quality and production standards
- Communicate machine or quality concerns to management
- Work with team members to maintain production schedules and efficient setups
- Record completed work and maintain accurate documentation
- Communicate job status to the department manager
Qualifications
- Previous CNC or manufacturing experience preferred
- Basic understanding of machining and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read blueprints and follow written instructions
- Comfortable using precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Motivated, dependable, and goal-oriented
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
