On September 14, 2015, Express Employment Professionals of Albany opened in the Rosewood Plaza in Colonie. To celebrate, on March 17th, St Patty’s Day, we’re doing a Grand Opening and as part of the grand opening we’re doing a fundraiser for Oak Hill School. Also as part of the Grand Opening we'll have the Express Clydesdale's at the office and weather permitting they will be doing carriage rides through part of our parking lot. You can learn about the Express Clydesdales in this short video. Carriage rides will be FREE but donations will be requested and ALL proceeds will go to Oak Hill School.
Oak Hill School is a NYS approved Chapter 853 private therapeutic day school for children in K-8th grades with social-emotional and/or behavioral challenges that keep them from being successful in a traditional school setting. The school is set over 9 acres of wooded land, complete with a pond and hiking trails. Although Oak Hill School is a NYS approved Chapter 853 private therapeutic day school, they are also a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that seeks financial sponsorships and donations from local businesses and the community in order to provide the best program for the students they educate. They have over 20 students from various districts on their waiting list. They’ve just been given state approval to expand the school and are launching a capital campaign to raise the necessary funds. The Express Grand Opening is the kickoff of the campaign.
