I grew up in Bandon, Oregon, a small town on the Oregon Coast. I graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, then worked as a legal assistant in Eugene for a few years. I moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where I worked as a recruiting coordinator for U-Haul Corporate office, before returning to Oregon and joining Express.

One of my personal interests is cultivating rare and beautiful houseplants. I have a collection of over 50 different plants in my home, and I enjoy taking care of them and watching them grow. Some of my favorites are the monstera deliciosa, the string of pearls, and the calathea orbifolia.

I grew up in Oregon and went to school for teaching. I worked as a teacher for 10 years and decided I needed a change. I have a passion for education and helping others learn and grow.

One of my personal interests is anything Disney related and Harry Potter. I love the magic and imagination of these stories, and I often visit the theme parks and watch the movies. I am also an avid reader, reading upwards of 20-25 books a month. I like to read different genres and discover new authors and perspectives.

"Hi, I’m Daniel Martinez a skilled trades employment specialist at Express. I started working at Express in February 2022. I love that I get to work with a team of people who have a similar goal of helping people. Whether that’s an applicant looking for a job or a company finding someone who fits their needs, it’s a unique challenge every day and everyone here is always trying to support and help each other.

I grew up in the Bay Area of California and Honolulu, Hawaii, where I enjoyed the diverse cultures and lifestyles. I’ve always been in customer service roles of some sort, from department store sales, restaurant serving, gym sales, and now as an employment specialist. My favorite kind of jobs are where I don’t feel like I’m ‘selling’, just helping people.

One of my personal interests is making short films with friends in my free time. I usually participate in the Lane County 72 hour Horror Film Festival competition in late October each year, where we have just three days to come up with an idea, film it, edit it, and then submit it by the deadline. The great part is we get to show the film on the big screen to an audience - it’s a great time!

One of my personal interests is construction/handyman work. I like to fix things and improve my home. Another passion of mine is EDM (Electronic Dance Music). I love listening to and creating electronic music, as it energizes me and makes me happy.

I grew up in San Diego, California, where I enjoyed the sunny weather and the beautiful beaches. I graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2019, then worked as an office assistant/customer service person from mid 2019 to 2022. I learned a lot of valuable skills in that role, such as communication, organization, and problem-solving.

My favorite hobby is spending time with my dog Sydney, who is a golden retriever. She is very friendly and playful, and she always makes me smile. We like to go for walks, play fetch, and cuddle on the couch.

"Hi, name is Alishia Nickelson and I am a Recruiting Specialist for Healthcare at Express. I started working at Express IN December of 2023. I grew up in the small town of Harrisburg, Oregon. Before joining Express, I ran the recruiting department for an agency that provided services to families with members who had intellectual and physical disabilities. My team was able to send in support for those families to help navigate daily life for those members, accomplish goals long term and short term, as well as daily tasks and needs.
