Job Full Description
Here's What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:
A MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welder, also known as a Gas Metal Arc Welder (GMAW), uses a welding gun that feeds a continuous solid wire electrode through a nozzle while shielding gas is simultaneously released to protect the weld from contamination. MIG welders are responsible for joining metal parts together—typically steel, stainless steel, or aluminum—by melting the base materials and the wire electrode to form a strong, precise bond. They often read blueprints, follow technical drawings, and ensure welds meet specific standards. MIG welding is commonly used in manufacturing, automotive repair, construction, and metal fabrication due to its efficiency and strong, clean welds.
