Compensation: $70,000k-$85,000k annually 


About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Commercial Lines Account Manager to independently manage client accounts and provide exceptional service. This role involves new and renewal business, marketing, addressing client inquiries, and reviewing coverage to ensure client satisfaction and retention.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a book of business, ensuring timely handling of new and renewal accounts.

  • Maintain strong knowledge of insurance coverage and industry trends to provide effective guidance and recommendations.

  • Submit and manage marketing submissions to carriers, including application prep, loss analysis, and coverage comparisons.

  • Ensure the agency management system is consistently accurate and up to date.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to client and underwriter inquiries.

  • Identify client risk exposures and recommend appropriate coverage options.

  • Assist clients with claims reporting and resolution.

  • Occasionally perform on-site client service visits.

  • Adhere to Commercial Lines Best Practices and agency workflows.

  • Collaborate with Producers/Agents to maintain renewals and avoid coverage lapses.

  • Prepare proposals, insurance summaries, and other client documentation.

  • Continuously look for cross-selling opportunities and account development.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Property & Casualty insurance agency setting.

  • Must hold a valid state Property & Casualty insurance license.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and internet-based programs

    • Experience with agency management systems (knowledge of Epic is a plus)

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision

    • Positive attitude and team player mentality


Working Conditions:

  • Primarily an office environment with moderate noise levels

  • Physical requirements include sitting for long periods, occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs), and the ability to focus on computer-based tasks
