- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator who is more than just a machine operator. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, be comfortable working with precision measuring instruments, and possess the ability to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a clean, air-conditioned machine shop with excellent benefits and long-term career advancement potential.
Candidates with CNC setup, machinist, and programming experience will be considered for the higher end of the pay range.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision machined components
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Perform machine offsets, tooling changes, and troubleshooting as needed
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify product quality and maintain tight tolerances
- Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications
- Identify and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime and scrap
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- Perform routine machine maintenance and monitor machine performance
Qualifications
- Previous CNC Lathe operating experience required
- CNC setup and/or machinist experience strongly preferred
- Experience with G-Code and M-Code programming is highly desired
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
- Ability to read blueprints and understand technical specifications
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation
Pay ranges from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Candidates with CNC programming, setup, troubleshooting, and machinist experience will be eligible for consideration at the higher end of the pay range.
