The Role

As an Import/Export Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing the documentation, compliance, and administrative functions that keep our import and export operations running smoothly. You will serve as a key point of contact for logistics coordination, ensuring that all shipments meet regulatory requirements and are processed accurately and efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in international trade while working in a fast-paced administrative environment.

What You'll Do

- Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation, including customs forms, bills of lading, and compliance records
- Coordinate with logistics partners, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant shipment processing
- Manage filing systems and maintain organized records of all import/export transactions and communications
- Enter and verify data related to shipments, tariffs, and regulatory requirements with accuracy and attention to detail
- Follow established office procedures and protocols to support efficient operations
- Respond to inquiries and provide status updates on shipment progress
- Identify and communicate any compliance issues or discrepancies to appropriate personnel

What We're Looking For

Required:
- Demonstrated experience with import/export logistics and trade procedures
- Strong file management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in data entry and office software
- Knowledge of office procedures and professional communication standards
- Ability to work accurately with detailed documentation
- Attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance

Preferred:
- Experience with customs documentation and tariff classification
- Familiarity with logistics management systems or trade software
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or logistics role
- Knowledge of international trade regulations
