Job Full Description
Express Employment is seeking a Lamella Layup Technician. You’ll play a key role in the production of DLT panels by preparing and laying out dimensional lumber (lamella) for pressing and doweling. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:

Select and stage lumber based on production needs

Visually inspect lumber for defects and moisture

Align and lay out lumber on pressing tables according to shop drawings

Ensure proper spacing, orientation, and quality of materials

Coordinate with production team to maintain workflow

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Follow safety protocols and report hazards
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand throughout the shift

Basic understanding of tape measures, calipers, and hand tools

Ability to read and follow simple shop drawings

Previous experience in carpentry, wood manufacturing, or similar fields preferred

Comfortable working around wood dust, noise, and changing temperatures
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Wage: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time, Seasonal (May – September)
