Job Full Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Logging Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy logging machinery and working in rugged outdoor environments.
Responsibilities:
- Operate logging equipment such as skidders, feller bunchers, loaders, and bulldozers
- Safely fell, load, and transport timber in compliance with environmental and safety regulations
- Perform basic maintenance and inspections on equipment
- Follow directions from supervisors and work effectively with team members on-site
- Navigate and work on uneven terrain, steep slopes, and in changing weather conditions
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of logging equipment operation experience preferred
- Knowledge of proper logging techniques, safety standards, and environmental practices
- Ability to read maps, logging plans, and follow GPS navigation
- Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous tasks
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required
