Job Full Description

Express is seeking a Facilities Coordinator. The Facilities Coordinator is a management position responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of District facilities, including on-water, upland, industrial, and recreational facilities. This role oversees facility maintenance, coordinates construction projects, manages crews, and provides support for emergency services activities.

The Facilities Coordinator works closely with the Marina Manager and reports directly to the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise facility maintenance activities and staff.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between facility management, service providers, and tenants.
  • Oversee procurement, installation, repair, and improvements of facilities.
  • Monitor facility alarms and respond to emergencies during and after business hours.
  • Prepare and manage the annual facilities maintenance budget.
  • Ensure compliance with safety practices, oil spill prevention, hazardous materials management, and vessel response services.
  • Conduct facility assessments, inspections, and risk management reviews.
  • Support capital improvement planning and lease administration (Level III).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Related experience in facility management.
  • Knowledge of building and utility systems in office, industrial, and marine facilities.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
  • Completion of HAZWOPER 40 and annual refresher.

Additional Qualifications for Level III:

  • Significant experience in facility operations management, leasing, and capital improvement programs.
  • 5+ years in facility permitting and municipal compliance.
  • High-level knowledge of hazard-related facilities safety and security practices.
  • Experience interpreting construction plans and utility drawings.

Salary Range: $71,845 – $87,680 annually (Depending on qualifications and experience)
