Job Full Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Diagnostic Scheduler / Authorization Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating patient scheduling and managing authorization requests to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic services and follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities:

Schedule patients at checkout for in-house ultrasounds and follow-up office visits

Submit authorization requests for office visits and in-house ultrasounds as required

Send imaging orders and DME requests to outside facilities

Coordinate and schedule subsequent follow-up appointments

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
-
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and external offices

Manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
-
Prior experience with medical scheduling and insurance authorizations preferred

Strong organizational and record-keeping skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
Physical & Work Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods

Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone
