Job Full Description
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of products, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing excellent customer service while representing the company in a professional manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles and follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues immediately.
- Ensure vehicles are loaded accurately and assist with loading and unloading products as needed.
- Complete required driver logs and maintain organized delivery paperwork, including COD payments when applicable.
- Communicate regularly with the office and supervisors regarding delivery status and any issues at delivery sites.
- Navigate routes efficiently and maintain awareness of surroundings while driving.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries.
- Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all DOT requirements, including random drug and alcohol screenings.
- Work cooperatively with team members and follow company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A or CDL B Driver’s License appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
- Clean DMV driving record and ability to be approved by company insurance.
- Current and valid medical card.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and strong driving skills.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods (up to 6–7 hours per day).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs occasionally and 75 lbs repetitively.
- Ability to push or pull 50–250 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to perform physical work for 8–10 hour shifts.
Work Environment
This role operates in a fast-paced delivery environment where schedules and priorities may change. Drivers must remain flexible, organized, and maintain strong communication with supervisors and office staff throughout the day.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $27.00 – $30.00 depending on experience
