Warehouse Manager

8:00 AM- 5:00 PM

Summary Statement:
A warehouse manager leads their team by setting productivity goals, setting up logical organization systems and creating communication systems within the warehouse.
This results in completing the fulfillment of customer orders on a timely basis as well receiving inventory from factories and putting inventory in predetermined locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Receiving shipments from factories by the team which includes inspection for damage and matching the packing slip to goods received.
  2. Once Inventory is received, Inspected and checked, the packing slip is sent to customer service to receive into P-21 system.
  3. In regards to damaged goods, inspection Is to be done before freight carrier leaves with notations on BOL that driver has as well as WPD copy. pictures of damage should be made as well for freight claims.
  4. Freight claims must be filed immediately from pictures, BOL notations to the carrier by Warehouse manager.
  5. Once goods are received, they should be racked within a day (or other designated location in the warehouse) by the team.
  6. Challenges to space issues need to be discussed with the Branch manager and COO (Vince) to find a solution.
  7. Outbound shipments for equipment pick tickets received from Customer service, are to be picked and packaged appropriately to avoid damage In shipment within 24 hours (as the goal).
  8. Freight carriers are to be notified for pickup daily.
  9. Tasks for the warehouse team should be assigned as needed by warehouse manager (this includes counter duty, receiving, shipping, loading delivery truck and driver, warranty processing, etc.). A white board may be helpful so daily lists with assignments are clear.
  10. Warranty processing procedures for each brand are assigned after training (includes entering in the portal before issuing any credit memos, returning to factory for special items and proper storage of other items for period of time that factories require). Ashly, Stan and Julio developed a processing procedure to be followed. UPS returns are to be isolated and processed within 24 hours of receipt.
  11. Parts counter duty is to be assigned with proper training to warehouse team members.
  12. Shipping Supplies (boxes, tape, pallets, banding etc.) are to be ordered as needed from our vendors by warehouse manager. Equipment needs or repairs proposals need approval from branch manager and COO to issue a PO.
  13. Warehouse Safety procedures must be reviewed with COO and posted (we have training videos for forklift operators and lifting properly to avoid back injuries). Each warehouse team member must be documented to having completed the course.
  14. Covid 19 procedures are to be followed especially masked up at parts counter.
