Job Full Description
We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for a manufacturer of high-precision vacuum components in Hayward.
Responsibilities
- Set, maintain, and roll standard costs for manufactured goods
- Analyze and explain purchase price, labor, and overhead variances
- Perform month-end inventory, cost, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close, commissions, and cycle counts
- Partner with Engineering to maintain accurate BOMs and routers
- Deliver margin and job-level profitability reporting to management
- Perform cost-volume-profit, breakeven, and make-vs-buy analyses
Qualifications
- 3–4 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard costing
- Manufacturing ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or Epicor)
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and modeling
- Strong communication skills and ability to present to cross-functional teams
Preferred: Semiconductor or high-precision equipment manufacturing experience.
