Job Summary
The Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of both incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring the financial integrity of the organization. This role involves managing invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining organized financial records.

Responsibilities:

  • Process daily orders, including verifying products, pricing, and delivery information.
  • Generate and verify invoices for goods and services.
  • Manage accounts payable, including printing invoices, matching invoices to purchase orders, and entering invoices into the accounting system.
  • Apply payments to customer accounts and prepare payments to vendors.
  • Monitor customer accounts for overdue balances and follow up on past due accounts.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable and payable ledgers to ensure accuracy.
  • Resolve billing and invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Generate financial reports, including aging reports.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
