Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with expertise in Procore and Sage Intacct. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounting for construction projects, general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting, all while leveraging Procore and Sage Intacct systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Involved in the full cycle of accounting for multiple construction projects, ensuring accurate financial records and efficient reporting.
- Procore Integration: Utilize Procore to manage job costs, including tracking labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses. Ensure timely and accurate project cost tracking and billing.
- Sage Intacct: Use Sage Intacct for general ledger entries, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. Ensure that all transactions are properly categorized and comply with company policies.
- Project Costing: Collaborate with project managers and project engineers to ensure job cost tracking aligns with project budgets and any variances are analyzed and addressed.
- Financial Reporting: Generate weekly financial reports from Procore and Sage Intacct, providing detailed insights into job costs, profit margins, and financial performance for each project.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process vendor invoices, manage payments, and ensure timely collections on accounts receivable. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately in both Procore and Sage Intacct.
- Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process by reviewing and reconciling all project and general ledger accounts, ensuring that financials are accurate and up to date.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of project budgets, and profitability projections. Provide project managers with real-time updates on financial status.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits related to construction accounting and job costing.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial workflows using Procore and Sage Intacct, ensuring maximum efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Procore Experience: Strong hands-on experience with Procore construction management software for job costing and financial tracking.
- Sage Intacct Experience: Proficiency with Sage Intacct accounting software, particularly in managing the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and experience with project management and financial software platforms.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with construction accounting principles, including job costing, progress billing, and revenue recognition.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial transactions and reporting.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and provide actionable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with cost accounting practices specific to the construction industry.
- ERP System Experience: Experience with ERP systems in construction, such as Procore and Sage Intacct, is highly desirable.
