Summary
This role plays a crucial part in providing exceptional customer service to pilots, passengers, and other visitors at a private jet center (Fixed-Base Operator, or FBO). The primary focus is on answering and directing incoming phone calls, responding to inquiries, and assisting with various requests to ensure a smooth and positive experience for all clients. This position requires a proactive approach to anticipating customer needs and ensuring that their requests are addressed efficiently and professionally. 
Key responsibilities
  • Handling Telephone Calls:
    • Answering and routing incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
    • Responding to phone inquiries regarding services, reservations, and general information about the FBO.
    • Connecting clients to the appropriate personnel or departments.
  • Customer Service:
    • Providing a high level of customer service to pilots, passengers, and ground personnel.
    • Assisting with requests such as hotel reservations, catering, rental cars, and ground transportation.
    • Taking reservations and scheduling flights/services for customers.
  • Communication & Coordination:
    • Effectively communicating with customers, ground personnel, and other staff members in person, by phone, and potentially via radio communications.
    • Coordinating with line service personnel to fulfill customer service needs.
    • Communicating with pilots and schedulers to coordinate flight arrivals and departures.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Accurately recording customer preferences and processing financial transactions.
    • Performing data entry, managing records, and processing paperwork.
    • Maintaining a clean and organized reception area. 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in aviation or hospitality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in English (and possibly other languages).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Computer proficiency, including experience with reservation systems and basic office software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high call volumes.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and de-escalate difficult customer situations.
