Job Full Description

As a Laundry Restoration Technician, you'll be responsible for the proper care, cleaning, and return of textiles and soft goods damaged by smoke, fire, water, and other contaminants. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment using state-of-the-art equipment to restore clothing, linens, and other washable contents with precision and care.

This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role that requires efficiency, teamwork, and compassion for the people we serve.

What You’ll Do:

On-Site Responsibilities:

  • Interact with clients in a professional, compassionate manner.

  • Assist with inventory, labeling, and packaging of textile items at affected locations.

  • Work with the contents team to ensure textiles are properly documented for restoration.

  • Safely transport laundry items to and from the restoration facility.

In-Facility Responsibilities:

  • Sort, wash, dry, and finish laundry using specialized restoration equipment.

  • Identify and apply appropriate cleaning methods for various types of fabric damage (e.g., smoke odor, soot, mold, etc.).

  • Inspect items for stains, damage, or non-restorable conditions and document accordingly.

  • Fold, package, and prepare restored laundry for return to the customer.

  • Track all inventory through detailed logs and digital systems.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Previous laundry, dry-cleaning, or restoration experience preferred but not required.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, high-quality results.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn restoration techniques.

  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

  • Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record (a plus).

Additional Expectations:

  • Wear proper PPE and follow all safety and cleanliness protocols.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

  • Be available for occasional after-hours work during emergencies.
