Job Title: Driver / Shop Support

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Overtime may be available based on workload and delivery needs.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Driver to support daily operations in a manufacturing and machine shop environment. This role is responsible for transporting metal materials, parts, and finished products between job sites, vendors, and customers, while also assisting with general shop support as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working around industrial materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up metal materials, parts, and fabricated products

  • Load and unload metal materials, using proper lifting techniques and equipment

  • Secure loads to ensure safe transport and prevent damage

  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs

  • Maintain accurate delivery and pickup documentation

  • Coordinate delivery schedules with shop staff and supervisors

  • Assist with basic shop duties when not driving (material handling, organizing inventory, cleanup)

  • Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies

  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers and vendors

Requirements

  • Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record

  • Previous driving or delivery experience preferred (manufacturing or industrial setting a plus)

  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials (metal products) safely

  • Familiarity with warehouse or machine shop environments preferred

  • Strong attention to safety and detail

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work overtime when required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting

  • Comfortable working in a shop environment with noise, machinery, and metal materials

Additional Requirements

  • Background check and drug screening required
