Part-Time Bookkeeper
Location: Salinas, CA
Schedule: Part-Time, 15–20 hours per week
Pay Rate: $22–$30/hr DOE
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support a local business in Salinas. The ideal candidate will have prior bookkeeping experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with QuickBooks.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process invoices and maintain accurate financial records
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain and update QuickBooks records daily
- Assist with payroll processing and expense tracking
- Prepare basic financial reports and spreadsheets
- Maintain organized filing systems and documentation
- Communicate professionally with vendors and internal staff
- Support general administrative and accounting duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting support experience required
- Proficiency in QuickBooks required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial information
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in small business accounting
- Payroll experience is a plus
- Associate degree or accounting coursework preferred but not required
