Car Washer/Detailer
- Pay: $21/hour
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday 8am-4:30pm
- No driving of vehicles required
Must be able to pass a background check drug screening
SUMMARY:
The Car Washer/Detailer cleans vehicles inside and out (vehicles may be cleaned by hand or by operating washing equipment). The Car Washer/Detailer may also perform regular maintenance (non-mechanical services), moves vehicles, and performs other duties assigned by the manager, all completed in a safe and timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Car Washer/Detailer is responsible for the care and maintenance of the fleet on the lot. This includes vacuuming and prepping the fleet, shuttling fleet to and from car washes and dealerships for servicing, fleet transports to and from offices, checking fluid levels, and changing tires. The role also requires flexibility and adaptability;
· Clean vehicle exterior by hand, brush or by operating washing equipment
· Polish, dry and clean vehicle windshields, windows, lights, mats and exterior body, by hand
· Vacuum, shampoo, add air freshener and clean vehicle interior (some stain removal may be required)
· Determine need for and add windshield fluid, gas, oil, water and antifreeze
· Perform basic maintenance checks: antenna, under the hood, inside the vehicle, inside the trunk, and outside vehicle
· Verify appropriate stickers are attached to vehicle (registration, plates, etc.)
· May be responsible for maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies
· May assist with local automobile deliveries
· Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL:
· Ability to work in an airport environment with emissions and aircraft sounds
· Ability to and proven track record of management of guest services effectively and successfully
· Ability to work individually or within a team environment
· Ability to wash, detail, and drive vehicles as a primary duty
· Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
· Ability to maintain and project professional behaviors towards guests and associates
· Ability to work in varying environments, such as indoors and outdoors
· Valid, unrestricted Driver's License (as mandated by state and location) with good driving history is required
· Must meet residency requirements that allow working in the United States
· Proof of Auto Insurance/Insurability
· 21 years of age or older
· Must be a self-starter and proactive
· Excellent guest service skills
· Commitment to excellence and high standards
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
· Ability to accept instructions or directions and see through to completion

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and/or drive for up to 8 hours
· Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs without assistance
· Ability to work within an airport environment with smells and noise associated with jet craft
· Ability to work in weather and elements with varying degrees
· Work between frequently alternating environments; inside and outside, sunlight and office light
· Must possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities necessary to complete the responsibilities detailed above. Essential functions may include lifting, bending and twisting, climbing, washing cars, pushing and pulling, speaking, writing, lifting, typing, filing, and the ability to use a computer, telephone, calculator, copy machine and fax machine, as well as other duties that may be assigned.
