2nd Shift Floater / General Labor Associate
Position Overview
A manufacturing company in Oxnard is seeking a dependable and hardworking Floater to support production operations throughout the facility. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning different departments, and helping wherever needed to keep production running smoothly.
The Floater will be trained in multiple areas of the factory and will assist with general labor tasks, production support, machine operation assistance, and departmental coverage based on daily production needs.
This is a physically active, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in various production departments as needed
- Learn and support multiple positions throughout the facility
- Help ensure production goals and deadlines are met
- Identify and report production issues or safety concerns
- Maintain product quality standards
- Work closely with supervisors and production staff
- Perform general labor and manual tasks throughout the shift
- Follow all company safety procedures and workplace policies
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Ability to learn multiple job functions and adapt quickly
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience preferred
- Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or mechanical experience is helpful
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent use of hands for handling tools, materials, and equipment
- Comfortable working around machinery and in a loud production environment
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/production facility
- Exposure to heat, dust, machinery, grease, and industrial equipment
- Safety equipment such as safety glasses and steel-toe boots required
Schedule & Pay
- 2nd Shift position
- Training will take place on 1st Shift
- Full-time opportunity
- Pay: $18.00 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)
