About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Brown & Sharpe Machinist / Precision Manual Machining Operator to join a high-quality manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who takes pride in producing tight-tolerance, precision components in a production environment.

What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate Brown & Sharpe precision manual machines (turret lathes / screw machines / similar equipment)
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Produce precision-machined parts to tight tolerances
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring tools
- Adjust tooling, machine settings, and setups to maintain quality standards
- Ensure production efficiency, accuracy, and safety compliance
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of manual machining or precision machining experience preferred
- Experience with Brown & Sharpe machines or similar equipment strongly preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring tools
- High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently in a production environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods (6–10 hour shifts)
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs occasionally
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Comfortable working in a machine shop environment
