Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Low-Voltage Cable Installer to join our team. This position involves installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling systems at commercial customer locations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a strong work ethic, and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Install, route, secure, and label low-voltage cabling in commercial environments.
- Terminate and test network, data, voice, and other low-voltage cabling systems.
- Read and follow work orders, site plans, and installation instructions.
- Troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at customer sites.
- Ensure all installations meet company standards and industry best practices.
- Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and project managers.
- Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
- Complete required documentation and reports for assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Experience installing low-voltage cabling preferred.
- Basic knowledge of IT systems, networking, or structured cabling.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure, cable termination, and testing tools is a plus.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in ceilings, ladders, and other installation environments.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check, if required.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and professionalism.
