Class A CDL Flatbed Driver

We are seeking a safe, reliable, and experienced Class A CDL Flatbed Driver to transport materials and provide outstanding service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Schedule
- Shift start time: 2:30 AM
- Full-time position
- Hours may vary based on route assignments and business needs
Compensation
Starting at $27.00 per hour+ DOE (Depending on Experience)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
- Deliver materials accurately, professionally, and on schedule.
- Verify delivery documentation, including bills of lading, receipts, and invoices.
- Inspect materials for correct tags, quality, and accuracy before transport.
- Ensure proper load balancing, securement, and weight distribution in compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.
- Return completed delivery paperwork and required documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- Utilize tablets and electronic devices for E-Logs, GPS tracking, and timekeeping.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and records.
- Operate various company vehicles as needed based on business demands.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Support operational needs and other assigned tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Minimum 3 years of verifiable tractor-trailer flatbed driving experience.
- Knowledge of DMV requirements, DOT regulations, and safe driving practices.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to assess and resolve loading, unloading, and material damage issues.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds as needed.
- Ability to secure loads using straps and tie-down equipment (8 straps, approximately 10 lbs each per delivery).
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, humid environments, and exposure to airborne particles.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Previous lumber industry experience is preferred but not required.
