Job Full Description
A Safety Coordinator ensures that workplace safety standards are met and maintained. They develop, implement, and monitor safety programs to reduce risks and prevent accidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
- Train employees on safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain records of safety inspections, training, and incidents
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safet
- Analyze safety data and prepare reports for leadership
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s is a plus, preferably in environmental health and safety discipline.
- 2-3 years of construction safety experience (electrical safety experience is preferred).
- Understanding of electrical industry standards such as NFPA, NESC, ASTM, and ANSI.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and risk management
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in safety-related roles (e.g., safety inspector, supervisor)
Work Environment
Safety Coordinators may work in office settings, industrial sites, or field environments depending on the industry. They often interact with employees at all levels—from frontline workers to senior management.
