Job Full Description
Position Summary The Sales Agent is responsible for achieving the agency’s sales objectives. This role also includes assisting in managing specific operational processes, ensuring the fulfillment of all goals and expectations, and providing support to existing clients as needed.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Adhere to the established Sales Process in every sales interaction.
- Enter applications into Agency Zoom, update the lead status in the lead management system upon sale, secure all necessary signatures and supporting documentation, and obtain all prior insurance or additional required documents before binding, as applicable.
- Conduct outbound calls to engage with prospective clients, maintaining a minimum of 100+ calls or 3+ hours or achieving 3+ written policies daily.
- Manage assigned lead lists using the lead management system, following the guidelines established by the Sales Leader and/or Agency Manager.
- Notify the Agency Manager of any client situations requiring monitoring, such as suspicious or frequent claims.
- Follow up with new business clients to discuss life insurance options and request referrals.
- Participate in office meetings to strategize growth, address concerns, and review upcoming training sessions or updates.
- Continuously strive to enhance office efficiency and manage expenses effectively.
- Cross-sell to existing clients using the “lead with review” approach.
- Ensure strict compliance with Allstate and agency-specific policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Perform service tasks as required, acknowledging that occasional service work may be necessary in this specialized office environment.
- Commit to ongoing professional development by improving and expanding product knowledge and skills.
Minimum Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Proficiency with computer systems, including cloud-based platforms for data entry.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client information.
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with team members.
- Proven ability to complete assignments accurately and within designated timeframes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for interaction with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Capability to sit for 4-6 hours per day (standing desks available) and walk for up to 2 hours per day.
- Physical ability to reach, bend, stoop, and handle objects using hands and fingers, with necessary visual and auditory capabilities.
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry tasks using computers and electronic devices.
- Visual acuity to read and comprehend communications in various formats.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- High level of interpersonal skills and integrity.
Licenses or Certifications
- Possession of a Colorado Property & Casualty (P&C) license is required.
- Eligibility for binding authority with Allstate is mandatory.
- A Colorado Life and Health (L&H) license is recommended and preferred.
