Maintenance Electrician:
Computer Skills, Language Skills, Mathematical Skills-: Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery, and equipment by performing the following duties.

JOB DESCRIPTION :
Safely operate the man-lift and observe weight and height limits. 4. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machine and equipment such as extruders and control cabinets, electrical motors and programmable controllers. 5. Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment. 6. Repairs or replaces faulty PLC'S, DC and AC drives. 7. Pushes buttons and presses keys on programmable controllers to program automated machinery to operate properly, and to test for malfunctions and to verify repairs. 8. Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in building. 9. Designs and draws electrical schematics and purchases parts needed to build and install electrical control panels for equipment. 10. Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors and position sensing devices. 11. Be able to use and program PLC and automated controllers. 12. Know the proper use of voltage testing equipment. 13. Start devices to test their performance. 14. Set up and operate drill press, hydraulic press and cut off saw. Use various other hand and shop tools to make and repair parts and equipment. 15. Fabricate new equipment or modify existing equipment to meet production requirements. 16. Possess essential mechanical skills to be able to trouble shoot equipment malfunctions and to be able to make proper repairs. 17. Perform electrical preventative maintenance on extrusion equipment and other related fields as needed. 18. Know the basic extrusion process and assist the production department in all aspects of PVC pipe manufacture. 19. Supply your own hand tools.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. 1 to 3 yrs related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding knowledge is required, with the ability to read schematics in all related areas. A limited journeyman manufacturing plant electrical license or greater is desired for this job.
