Industrial Mechanic Technician- 2nd and 3rd shift openings available
Responsibilities:
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
- Perform Preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
- Read diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
- Troubleshooting malfunctions
- Utilize precision measuring and root cause analysis
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Fabricate or repair parts by using shop tooling and equipment.
- Maintain and update PMs and work order completions information into CMMS
- Place order requests needed for equipment, parts, and supplies for purchasing.
- Complete daily reports by collecting information and findings
Qualifications/Experience:
- Proven work experience as a Mechanical Technician
- Knowledge of Installation, maintenance and repair of manufacturing and office equipment
- Experience with Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
- Experience with Mig and stick welding, as well as plumbing and fabrication. Electrical troubleshooting knowledge a plus
- Extrusion experience a plus
- Ability to read, understand, and apply information such as lockout/tag out procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to operate equipment including, but not limited to, industrial forklifts, man lifts, and other mobile equipment
- Ensure safe work practices and adherence to established safety procedures.
- Must be able to respond and report to work during off hours when emergency repairs are required, able to work overtime, and flexible to work off shifts hour if needed or required
- Must be able to initiate and completes work-orders and purchase requisitions, including documentation of critical and /or pertinent information
- Basic computer skills to record statistics, order supplies, or perform training
