Maintenance Mechanic- Working in a Manufacturing environment- 1st shift
Responsibilities:
• Maintain facility equipment and infrastructure
• Ensuring all machinery, HVAC systems, and production equipment are maintained and repaired, and functioning efficiently and safely.
• Conduct preventative maintenance
• Provide emergency/ unscheduled repairs of equipment during production.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make required adjustments.
• Work with maintenance team to ensure the facility complies with all federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Proactively conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and enforce workplace safety practices.
• Maintain facilities and grounds, including lawn care, leaf removal, preparing facilities for inclement weather, and snow removal.
• Perform janitorial tasks, such as changing light bulbs, sweeping and/or mopping, cleaning restrooms and assisting with trash removal when necessary.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs such as cleaning clogged drains/toilets, replacing faucets and fixtures, washers, gaskets, piping and fittings.
• Perform basic carpentry and related repairs such as hinges, window treatments, locks and other small repair tasks.
Qualifications/Experience
• At least 3 years of prior experience working as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing facility or a fabrication machine shop environment.
• Experience with CNC machines- ability to perform repairs on CNC and manual milling and turning machinery and equipment.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVAC systems and building maintenance.
• Experience with high-precision equipment and machine shop operations a plus.
• Strong knowledge of a variety of manufacturing equipment related to welding, forming, hydraulic presses, cranes and hoists, lathes and milling machines.
• Ability to operate equipment such as forklift, plow truck and skid steer.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations.
• Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturers websites.
