Material Logistic & Processing Operator
Direct Hire, Full-Time
Location: Wallingford, CT
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
Pay rate: $17-25/hr
Duties:
- Receive raw materials on the loading dock from various logistics and trucking companies
- Match receiving paperwork and Certificates of Conformance to work orders
- Note any discrepancies in the ERP system and communicate internally as needed
- Open, sort, inspect boxes, and stage materials for counting and inspection
- Resolve discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports
- Prepare raw materials for production using band saws and chop saws
- Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry
- Perform vibratory finishing of machined parts using vibratory tumblers
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience with driving Forklifts required
- Basic understanding of a Machine Shop
- Basic shop math skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Shipping experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to use measuring tools
- Desire to grow and learn new skills
- Portrays a can-do attitude
- Team collaboration skills
- Read, write, understand English
