Junior Design Engineer | Direct Hire, Full-Time
Location: Berlin, CT
Pay rate: $55,000-70,000/year
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create and modify CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, or similar tools.
- Assist in design reviews and implement feedback from senior engineers.
- Support prototype development and design validation.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and tolerance analyses.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and revision control.
- Follow design standards and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and other engineering teams to solve issues.
- Participate in product testing and support design improvements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of design or engineering experience (internships/projects count).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, CATIA).
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Ability to use shop math
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
