Job Full Description
Metal Parts Polisher/Finisher
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
Pay rate: $17/hr or more, based on experience
Location: Meriden, CT
Key Responsibilities
- Polish, buff, grind, sand, and finish metal parts to required specifications
- Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections
- Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, and polishing equipment
- Inspect finished parts for quality, consistency, and defects
- Follow blueprints, work orders, and finishing standards
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Meet daily production goals and deadlines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in metal finishing, polishing, grinding, or fabrication preferred
- Ability to use air tools, bench grinders, polishing wheels, and sanding equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to read basic work instructions or blueprints
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
