Job Full Description
We are seeking a CNC Machine Operator - 2nd shift to join our team!
Location: Wallingford, CT
Pay rate: $20-23/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:15 pm to 11:15 pm
Duties:
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.)
- Load tooling, fixtures, and materials
- Monitor machining operations and make adjustments as required
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Maintain clean, organized work stations and adhere to safety procedures
- Record production data and quality checks
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience as a CNC Machine Operator or machinist preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining specifications
- Familiarity with G‐code, M‐code, and CNC programming basics is a plus
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators)
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem‐solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
