Quality Engineer | Direct Hire
Location: Glastonbury, CT
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
Pay rate: $85,000-$100,000
Responsibilities:
- Generate new routing WIs and update existing WIs
- Champion FAIRs and PPAPs per customer requests
- Production floor support as needed
- SolidWorks design work as necessary
- Acts as a liaison between the quality group and manufacturing to help ensure stable production output to minimize customer returns and in-process delays
- Assist with LEAN projects as needed
- Assist in programming automated inspection equipment
- Use SPC data analysis to improve production processes and standardize
- Help with material verification review and retention
- Troubleshoot maintenance and repairs on production machines
- Help assist with customer support communications
Requirements:
- 8+ years of quality engineering background in manufacturing experience or equivalent BS in Engineering
- Knowledge with Quality Management Systems, ISO9001 and AS9100
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Self-driven, task-oriented professional
- Familiar with standard Microsoft Office suite programs
- Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (E2/JobBoss would be a plus)
- Certified ISO9001/AS9100 internal auditor, is a plus
- Experience with chemical etching, metal forming, metal working, is a plus
- English oral and written communication skills
