Location: Clearwater, FL
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

A leading non-profit organization in Clearwater, FL is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Finance to join their executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this strategic role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s financial operations and long-term fiscal sustainability.
The Senior Director of Finance will lead and manage the Finance, Revenue Management, Information Technology (IT), and Facilities teams, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and risk management

Deliver timely and accurate financial reports and custom ad-hoc financial analysis

Provide strategic financial recommendations to the CEO and executive leadership

Oversee accounting, cash flow management, budget planning, and contract oversight

Coordinate and lead the organization’s annual audit process

Supervise and develop leadership across Finance, IT, Revenue Cycle, and Facilities departments

Ensure compliance with GAAP, FASB, and non-profit financial reporting standards

Serve as a cross-departmental partner by communicating financial insights and driving strategic decision-making
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (required)

MBA or Master’s in Finance or related discipline (strongly preferred)

CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification (preferred)

10–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience

Strong background in non-profit finance, including fund accounting and compliance

Proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership and present to boards

Exceptional leadership and team development skills across finance, IT, and facilities functions
