Electrical / Mechanical Assembler – Full Time | $17/hr | Benefits from Day 1

Location: Clearwater, FL
Company: Express Employment Professionals – Clearwater
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM | Saturday as needed for production | Overtime as required
Pay: $17.00 per hour

Job Summary

As an Electrical / Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling complex electrical and mechanical components, following detailed specifications and quality standards. This role involves working closely with production schedules, verifying parts, and ensuring products meet exact requirements for shipment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Read and compare travel tickets to products for assembly accuracy

  • Stamp tickets or boxes in designated areas for quality tracking

  • Measure and verify correct lead lengths on wires

  • Crimp barrels to insulation precisely (RL product)

  • Cut wires to exact lengths for termination (SHT/SFT products)

  • Apply hot melt adhesive in specified case areas (RL product)

  • Tape and secure RL products as directed

  • Position Current Transformers (CT) correctly, ensuring they are properly glued, seated, and free of exposed wires (SHT/SFT products)

  • Attach hardware to finished SHT/SFT products

  • Measure, strip, and prepare RL leads for assembly

  • Verify labels against box descriptions and apply accurately

  • Wind wire with correct size and number of turns on cores per specifications

  • Document any changes to assembly specifications

  • Inspect and verify shipments for accuracy and quality

  • Install cores into coils and transformers into cases for resin pouring

  • Clean, label, and strap coils to plates

  • Weld terminals onto coils as needed

  • Operate and maintain machinery within the assembly area

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience in electrical and mechanical assembly or related manufacturing work

  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and product tickets accurately

  • Strong attention to detail and quality control

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

  • Flexibility to work Saturdays and overtime when needed

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work area and following company safety guidelines
